Steel Temper Rolling

Temper rolling is the process of light cold-rolling sheet steel; typically after the annealing process.

This process is performed to improve flatness, minimize the tendency to stretch, strain, and flute. Temper rolling will also ensure your steel obtains your desired surface texture and mechanical properties. Thickness of the steel is typically reduced to 0.5 percent to 3 percent and can be used to change the gauge and inconsistencies of the steel.

Our temper mills are in-line at exit end of pickle lines.
